Welcome to FGGC Abaji

This college was one of the fourteen Unity Colleges established in 1999 by the Federal Government. The Pioneer Principal
was Haija Ramatu Usman. Due to some logistics issues, academic activities could not start until April 2000.
The College was located at the former site of Sabon-Gari Primary School off Toto Road, Abaji.
The College started with 9 buildings inherited from the Primary School which were renovated to accommodate
Administrative Block, Bursary, 3- classroom Block, 3 Hostel Blocks and a staff room.
The present Green House Hostel was at concrete decking level and was used as College Dining Hall. Beside it, was constructed
zinc shed( Bacha) that served as a kitchen. The present step “B” Block and Bookshop were used as students’ hostels.
The College started with 9 academic staff including the Principal and 5 non-teaching staff.
